The Atlético Madrid striker appears to be moving to his home country.
The 31-year-old Diego Costa is originally from Brazil, and although he has chosen to play for the Spanish national team, Diego Costa has not forgotten his Brazilian roots.
According to Goal.com, the Brazilian club Flamengo is extremely interested in the striker, who does not appear to have any future in Madrid. Flamengo, who won the South American club championship last week, will most likely have to see Gabriel Barbosa go to Inter, and is now looking at Diego Costa as his replacement.
In the Flamengo squad is also former Atlético Madrid player Filipe Luiz and according to the media, Costa has told Luiz that he would like to move to his good friend’s club in Brazil.
Filipe Luiz has even stated that Diego Costa would fit Flamengo perfectly.
