Real Madrid is keen on Everton’s reserve keeper Maarten Stekelenburg, as Keylor Navas is expected to leave this summer according to Daily Mail.
Last season there was some uncertainty whether it was Belgian Thibaut Courtois or Costa Rican Keylor Navas who was to protect the goal in the Spanish capital club. However, this season the hierarchy seems to be in place as Zinedine Zidane will be using Courtois.
But Navas is not happy with a seat on the bench, so he is planning to find a new employer before the transfer window closes.
Should this mission succeed for Navas, Real Madrid would be looking to pick up a new reserve keeper in the 36-year-old Everton goalkeeper, Maarten Stekelenburg, who has not been playing much for The Toffees.
Stekelenburg has never managed to get regular first team football at Goodison Park, after moving from Fulham in the summer of 2016, and it is probably a little more fun to sit on the bench in Real Madrid than in Everton.
