The European top clubs are closely monitoring De Gea, who’s contract with Manchester United is set to expire at the end of the season. That means the Spanish goalkeeper can leave as a free agent, and he can already start negotiating with potential clubs in a few months – from January 1st 2020.
British newspaper, Daily Mirror, reports that the Spanish international has no plans on extending the contract, so it seems very likely that we are going to see the 28-year-old keeper in another club from next season.
The project at Manchester United is not evolving as expected, and this year the Red Devils are back in Europa League after just one season in the Champions League. At the same time De Gea has lost his spot on the Spanish national team to Premier League rival, Kepa, from Chelsea.
Daily Mirror writes that De Gea is watched closely by Juventus, that has become experts in picking up free transfers, as well as French giants Paris SG, that has never found the right candidate in goal.
