The Sun reports that Manchester United want West Ham’s French defender Issa Diop, but it is not only United who want to get their hands on the talented Frenchman.
Manchester United have had a very challenging season – sixth in the table as the best so far. The defensive issues have been apparent in their performances, and this January window is a great opportunity for the Manchester club to reinforce the backline if the team is to face a more successful final half of the season.
English media The Sun now believes that Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær wants to pay the full €46 million for West Ham stopper Issa Diop, who has impressed in the West Ham defense this season.
However, it is not just Manchester United who have the feel for the French defender. The Sun writes that Chelsea manager Frank Lampard also has a good eye for the 23-year-old Frenchman.
Issa Diop joined West Ham in the summer of 2018 from French club Toulouse, where he also played in the youth academy.
