Vertonghen fits Leverkusen’s profile

Jan Vertonghen, who has lost his spot in Tottenham Hotspur’s starting Xl, has been targeted by Leverkusen according to Kicker. As a left-footer, the top-of-the-line and strong-fighting center-back will fit Bayer’s predatory profile – and the 32-year-old wants to play.

Vertonghen’s contracts with Spurs runs until 2020, but it’s seems very likely that the the Belgian international will switch jersey before the summer transfer window shuts down.

Jan Vertonghen left Ajax for the Premier League in 2012 when Spurs payed €15 million for the defender, and has since made more than 200 appearances for the London-club.
