OFFICIAL: Robin Olsen Sold To AS Roma
FC Copenhagen and AS Roma have agreed on a transfer of Robin Olsen, who moves to the Serie A club with immediate effect in a transfer that may become one of the biggest in the history of FC Copenhagen.
Olsen came to Copenhagen in January 2016 and has played 100 matches for the club. He has won two Danish championships and two cup titles with the Danish Superliga giants, as well as participated in the Champions League group stage in 2016.
The 28-year-old Swedish international looks back on a great time in Copenhagen but is also looking forward to the new adventure.
“It’s a dream coming true for me to move to as big a club as AS Roma. I have had a great time in FCK, which has helped me to reach the level I have now.”
“I have had a lot of experience with championships and European matches, as well as having strong relationships with many in the club, especially the fans. I owe a lot of thanks to a lot of people here, but I would like to point out the health staff who worked almost 24/7 to get me ready for the World Cup. I’m sorry that I cannot leave the club at the very top, but I know FCK is on the right track and will always be a big club, which I will follow in the future. Now an adventure is waiting for my family and I in Rome, and I really look forward to getting started” Robin Olsen said.
The official transfer amount is € 8.5 million.
